Starting Your Business

  • See if there is interest in your area (if you plan to have a brick and mortar store) and if there is competition near you
  • Set up your business with the registered name and all appropriate licenses and permits
    • This can include things like a city/county/state business license, registered business name, and building inspection
  • Set up banking, business insurance (get a million dollar liability), and consider joining your local chamber of commerce
  • Obtain a way to take credit cards (we recommend using Square!)
  • Set up your social media accounts.
    • These can include Facebook, YouTube, Twitter Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, or TikTok
  • Get a professional website designed! A good website will cost you $5000 and up depending on your needs, but you’ll be getting invaluable visibility.
    • A website won’t do you any good if people don’t find it and use it.
    • Make sure you have someone that is optimizing your site for the most profitability.
  • Advertise! There are many ways to get effective advertising without spending a fortune. If you need some ideas or assistance give us a shout and we’ll lead you in the right direction.
